Okay I stumbled across this documentary while browsing through my Netflix "Play Now" files. I am not going to talk about "Chained Heat 2" or "Mars Needs Women". Not that I ever watched that trash. This documentary gives such an insight into the draft process as it follows four players through the process.
The players are coached by their agencies in all areas. What to say. What not to say. Running the 40 yard dash. Attitude. Considering the difference in pay between a first round pick and a second round pick and it involves millions of dollars it is not a surprise at all that these enterprises flourish.
Between now and Arpil this blog and others will be buzzing with draft talk and the other crucial events leading up to the draft: The Senior Bowl (Jan 26) the NFL Combine (Feb 20-26). The value of players wil rise and fall like stocks. Sometimes it is difficult to know the rhyme or reason. This documentary will give you some keen insights into the process.
Todays assignment: Watch this great flick ASAP

Great recommendation - I'm gonna put it in my Netflix queue right now, actually. Cool site, I'll be stopping by often!
This documentary is an eye opener. It addresses the business of football agencies, the business of the draft and the high stakes personal aspirations of the players involved. I was surprised how much some of these agencies invest in a prospect. But seeing the numbers involved it should not have been too surprising.
